Usually I can connect my laptop to the internet wirelessly, however now when I try to connect my laptop to the internet wirelessly a message pops up that says “This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured. Install wireless networking hardware and verify that the correct drivers are loaded.” So my question is how do I go about doing this.

I want a home network which I want one computer to actually connect to the router and modem, and another computer upstairs to have wireless internet from the router via PCI wireless networking card (with antenna).

I was thinking Linksys WRT54G. Any better ideas? Also, is it worth paying $10-20 more for the WRT54GL or the WRT54GS or do these routers perform just as well as the standard 54G.

The thing is, I want to be able to play the Sims 3 on my little Aspire One netbook. I am pretty positive it won’t be powerful enough to have it installed, but how does wireless networking work? If I install the game on my more powerful desktop computer, can I set up a network and play it through my laptop??

This might be a very dumb question – I really have no idea when it comes to computers!

Bad Wolf asked:

Can you share an internet connection between 2 computers using only 2 wireless networking cards? If you plug in a wireless networking card into 2 different computers, if one computer is connected to the internet, would the other computer have access to the internet?

Thanks.

Well my friends got an Xbox 360 and they want Live. Unfortunately they only have laptops and no PC. But one of my other friends gave them the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to see if that would help. They couldn’t figure it out. So is there a way to connect to Live with only a Wireless Adapter and a laptop? If you can’t use the Wireless Adapter is it possible to use the ethernet cable? Thanks.
